Hi, I’m Avian
I’m a Master of Engineering, Biomanufacturing (M.Eng.) and Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S) student at McMaster University located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I most recently worked on the design and validation of chemo-mechanical systems for ATS Life Sciences in Cambridge, ON. You can read my latest research article, published by Computers & Chemical Engineering, here.
Our society is facing many problems which are often posed as technological, but which I believe are at their root spiritual problems. Engineering ourselves to salvation (better health, better computers) never seems to make the anxiety go away. Instead, what I have found is that it is the arts which have provided the greatest comfort to people facing these challenges for thousands of years.
This website is a collection of thoughts from me, a person who is straddling the fields of the sciences and the arts, seeking a solution to the human condition.
